8-3/4" diameter x 3-1/4" tall. Madrone burl bowl. This bowl is made from wood acquired from a friend and retired woodturner. Madrone is native to the pacific northwest and is real pleasure to work with. When green it works beautifully but dries erratically and can crack apart spectacularly. This piece had been steamed and this process stabilizes the wood so that it doesn't self destruct as it dries.
